CYBER PATRIOT

Cyber Patriot is a program based on learning computer security skills and scripting.

It is taught by mentors and cadet leadership.

Cyber meets on Monday 4-5pm.

WARRIOR TEAM

Warrior Team’s goal is to become physically fit. The program consists of running, calisthenics, and weight training. These cadets also participate in competitions that involve physical fitness. To join the team, cadets must maintain a passing grade in all classes, and must show up to Tuesday and Wednesday practices 4-5pm.

KITTY HAWK AIR SOCIETY

The Kitty Hawk Air Society is JROTC’s elite academic society. They uphold the standard of the mission statement- dedication to serving our community- and promote academic excellence. Each semester KHAS participates in many community services and holds an induction ceremony.

SABRE TEAM

Sabre Team is a group of cadets that provide cordons at home football games, Military Ball, Relay for Life, and other important functions throughout the year. Sabre team has bi-weekly practices during football season and practice s on Wednesday 4-5pm.

HONOR GUARD

Honor Guard is a team of AFJROTC cadets who present the flags at events such as football games, baseball games, and opening ceremonies. Members are upheld to high standards academically and in uniform. Honor Guard meets bi-weekly during football season and as needed afterward. Practices on Wednesday 4-4:45pm

ACADEMIC BOWL

Academic Bowl is the elite JROTC quiz bowl team. They meet once per semester to compete in the “challenges”- rounds of timed, ACT style questions. These questions will prepare the students for college entrance examinations, like the SAT and ACT, while allowing these cadets a chance to have fun and compete. However, this fun, challenging experience is limited to a team of six cadets. If you are interested in joining the team, study! A new team will be selected next school year.

APT/RECRUITING

The Awareness Presentation Team is a group of cadets that present information on topics such as bullying, drugs, and other problems that school age children may face. These cadets go to the middle school to present to a younger audience.

ROCKETRY

Cadets who participate in rocketry will learn the safety regulations for model rockets, then build and launch them. If the cadet successfully launches their rocket, they earn a badge to wear on their uniform.
